The reveal of the upcoming Nintendo Switch OLED model excited some and disappointed others, but mostly it seemed to re-re-reignite speculation about the long-rumored 4K Switch Pro. Nintendo addressed these rumors on Twitter on Monday, stating, “We just announced that Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) will launch in October 2021, and have no plans for launching any other model at this time.”

In the same series of tweets, Nintendo’s corporate public relations also shot down rumors that the $350 OLED Switch would have a higher profit margin than the original version. “To ensure correct understanding among our investors and customers, we want to make clear that the claim is incorrect,” Nintendo stated.
